Fishery Information

Located in the beautiful county of Derbyshire, Allestree Park Lake is a 7-acre water situated in the 320-acre Allestree Park next to an 18-hole golf course. This mixed fishery is regarded as the largest open space in Derby and is home to stunning carp to over 20 lbs, jack pike to 7 lbs, tench, bream, pike to 30 lbs and silvers.

Open all year round, this disabled-friendly venue works with the Derby City Council in order to improve the lake and introduce further habitat and planting alongside a fishery management programme.

Day tickets are available for this water.

What size do the fish go to?

Carp go to over 20 lbs, jack pike to 7 lbs and pike to 30 lbs.

What tactics work well?

Carp respond well to boilies. Maggots and pinkies do well for the silver fish. If you want to catch good bags of bream and tench, bread and worms are your best bets.
