Fishery Information

The Berwick Slips are part of the fishery’s 3-lake complex and are located right across the Berick Ponds. The Slips themselves have a surface of roughly 6 acres and, thanks to some changes made a couple of years ago, are wider. Keep in mind that anglers can fish only from one bank of the lake.

In terms of angler space and accommodation, so to say, fishermen can enjoy up to 36 swims during their stay on the Berwick Slips. Throughout the lake, the depth is usually around 2-3 feet, with various portions that go as deep as 5 feet.

When it comes to the lake’s stock, it consists of small, common Carp, Roach, Bream, Perch, as well as Crucian Carp. The latter is reportedly in good stock and of average size overall. For bigger catches, the Berwick Ponds are a better choice, as they’re stocked with 34lbs Carp and with 60lbs Catfish. However, for a relaxing fishing session, the Slips are perfect!

What size do the fish go to?

Small Carp weighs as much as 10lbs.

Perch, Bream, and Roach of average size.

What tactics work well?

For all types of Carp, sweet corn, bread, and earthworms are recommended. Boilies are also ideal, especially for longer fishing sessions.

For Perch and Roach, worms are recommended. For a better catch, spoons and artificial lures can also be used.

What facilities are on site?

Electric shower.

Fresh drinking water available.

Is parking available?

Thanks to a recent overall, the fishery compound now has 3 large car parks, located between the 3 lakes. One of the parks is reportedly secured.
