Fishery Information

Boothsmere can be found inside the grounds of Booths Hall which is in Knutsford in the lovely county of Cheshire not far from the village of Chelford. It is a very weedy and silty lake but has a certain charm to it when you visit it.

Altringham Anglers own the rights to this lake so if you want to fish it you will need to contact them and they do allow night fishing on this water.

Its quite a big lake as its 12 acres in size with an average depth of 4ft.

What size do the fish go to?

Carp have been caught to 28lb but these are likely bigger than that now.

What tactics work well?

As it’s weedy and silty we recommend taking a weed rake to make a spot to fish in.

What facilities are on site?

There are no facilities on site.
