Fishery Information

Located in Derbyshire, Carsington Reservoir is a 748-acre water that is regarded as England’s ninth largest reservoir. This crystal clear water is set in the picturesque Derbyshire Peak District, which makes it one of the most idyllic fishing venues you can visit. This water is well-stocked with rainbow and brown trout up to over 8 lbs.

There are 20 well-maintained boats (18 standard boats + 2 wheelie boats) available for hire, all of which are supplied with engines, oars and an anchor. These boats can go out from 8:30 A.M. and return at sunset. Please note that these boats should be booked in advance.

Sporting (catch and release) and fish (catch and keep 4 fish) permits are available.

Rainbow and brown trout go up to over 8 lbs.
