Fishery Information
Located in Bur le Marsh, Lincolnshire, Chestnut Holiday Cottages is a stunning mixed fishery that offers excellent sport to both the beginner and more seasoned angler. The site comprises of 3 lakes in total, all of which boast a variety of features and a healthy stock of fish.
The Farm Fishing Lake offers an especially peaceful environment. There are several spacious pegs available, a number of which are suitable for disabled and elderly anglers. Furthermore, there are a healthy number of Bream, Tench, Perch, Roach and Carp in these waters.
Orby Road is just a short drive away from the farm waters. Again, this venue offers various fishing features, as well as providing a healthy head of Bream, Perch, Tench, Roach and Carp.
Country Cottage Fishing Lake is a well-established site which is popular due to its tranquility. Moreover, the reeds and mature trees offer privacy for the angler as well as shelter from the elements. The waters have an extremely healthy stock of Bream, Tench, Roach and Carp.
What size do the fish go to?
Bream, Tench, Roach and Perch tend to weight between 3 and 8lbs. Carp are frequently landed in double figures, with the largest specimen often exceeding 20lb.
What tactics work well?
During the summer months, utilising pellets and boilies can be beneficial. Furthermore, worms, maggots and sweetcorn are the most popular choice of baits.
What facilities are on site?
There is a children’s play area and games room, as well handling and feeding of the farm animals. Also, clean toilet and washing facilities are open to visitors.
