Fishery Information

Commonwood Fishery is a coarse fishery with 60 acres of land located only 3 miles away from the   beautiful village of Holt. There are nine lakes with different strengths for fishing.

Snowdon is a specimen pool with fish weighing up to 40 pounds.  Only syndicate members have exclusive access to this water.

For carp, Llewelyn is the best water body with a large number of double-figures in addition to a good number of fish over 20 pounds. Most of the fish is actually over 25 pounds.

Weston boasts a large number of extremely big carp, some of which exceed the 20lb mark. The average weight is 13lb.

Brecon is a small, quiet pool with a large population of catfish in addition to a good variety of carp. Weight of the fish is little more than 50 pounds.

Glyndwr is a lake specifically designed for match fishing competitions. It has 18 pegs, two of which are accessible by the disabled. The lake has a large stock of carp, roach, skimmers, and rudd, among other species.

Tryfan is also a match fishing pool, with 22 pegs. Carp, roach, skimmers, and rudd are among the species of fish that inhabit the pool.

Aran Lake is a natural pool where you can catch tench, with some good catches of up to 7 pounds. A few carp and coarse fish can also be found in the lake.

Gelert is a notable canal lake for matches, recreational anglers, and families.  It supports a diverse population of tench, silverfish, and carp. Fishing is possible on the lake throughout the year.
