Set in the lovely Norfolk countryside is Dents of Hilgay farm which offers 5 fishing lakes for you to choose from in which to spend your day relaxing and catching plenty of fish.
All the lakes have been landscaped over the years and have well established trees, reeds and other plant life. This means that the lakes are a haven for wildlife and you are likely to see kingfishers and other bird life.
In total there are 5 lakes.
Kingfisher lake is the smallest lake and the best for junior anglers or those wanting an easy days fishing. carp go to 15lb in here and you might even catch a barbel.
Farm shop lake has 30 pegs and is probably the most popular lake on the complex. There is a real mix in here and the carp go to 30lb.
Willow Lake has an island in the middle and 30 pegs. Method feeder works well on here and carp go to 30lbs.
2 island lake is the deepest at 14 feet and 28 pegs. There is also carp to 30lb in here.
Spinney has 23 pegs and carp to 22lbs
What size do the fish go to?
Carp go to 30lb on 3 of the lakes with the other lakes all holding decent size carp.
What tactics work well?
The margins work well on all the lakes and the method feeder produces great results.
What facilities are on site?
There are two toilets on site and both of these are disabled friendly.
Is parking available?
Yes, there’s plenty or car parking with a concrete base meaning your car won’t get stuck in the mud. The road down to the lake is also well maintained by the council.
