Fishery Information
Located in the quaint village of Hawkshead, Esthwaite Water offers excellent trout and pike fishing to anglers. Situated between Windermere and Coniston, you can get to the venue by taking the car ferry from Windermere across to Far Sawrey and then follow the B5285 up to the lake’s edge.
Tuition is also available for anglers who would like to learn or improve their fishing techniques.

Parking is available both in the villages of Near Sawrey on the southern end of the lake and at Hawkstead on the northern end of the lake. There is also a small pay and display car park on the shore of the lake on the Southwestern end at Ridding Wood.
