Glan Morfa Mawr Fishery is a 3 acre lake which was previously a trout fishery but has now been converted into a coarse fishing lake. The lake is managed by Tom, Jane and Bedwyr of Eisteddfa Fisheries Ltd.

What size do the fish go to?

The lake is stocked with rudd and roach up to 1½ lb; bream up to 2 lb; tench up to 2 lb and a smattering of carp up to 5lb.

What tactics work well?

As a coarse fishery, a range of tactics and baits can be used depending on the target species. For rudd and roach, float fishing with maggots, casters or bread works well. For bream and tench, ledgering or using a method feeder with sweetcorn, pellets or worms can be effective. For carp, boilies, pellets or sweetcorn fished on a hair rig can work well.

What facilities are on site?

The fishery has a small car park and toilet facilities.
