Fishery Information

The Green and Blue lagoon, as its name suggests, 2 separate lagoons which are next to each other and are known for producing specimen fish.

The Green lagoon is the original one and dates back to 1850 and was dug out by hand. This was abandoned and left to fill up with water and then work started on the blue lagoon.

As these are big pits, they are very deep. The green lagoon goes all the way down to about 30 feet in depth and is almost a sheer drop on one side, meaning there is no margin to fish. Even the shallowest side is 12 feet.

In the green lagoon, there is a lot of big carp with a lot of these being double figures to mid-teens. There’s also some nice leather carp in here which you don’t get in a lot of venues and the biggest out of here is 25lb.

Bream love gravel pits so it’s no surprise that these have grown to 8lb in size.

There’s even plenty of silverfish to be caught in here and these grow to a big size.

It can be a hard fishery to catch fish due to the size and depth but you know if your float goes under it’s going to be a decent-sized fish.
