Fishery Information

Although called Hatchlands Trout Farm, Hatchlands offers both fly fishing and coarse fishing.

The fly fishing lakes are stocked with hard fighting rainbows from the local Exmoor Fisheries.

Fly Fishing
The fly fishing lake is full of aquatic life which means they eat a really natural diet. This means the angling is really good. Brown trout and blue trout are also stocked here so there’s a really good mix of fish to be caught.
Coarse Fishing

There are 2 coarse fishing lakes here. There’s no information about what size the fish are, so it might be best to contact them beforehand to find out. One lake is called the specimen lake and the other is called the silverfish lake.
It’s a great place for youngsters who are new to fishing to try out fishing.

What tactics work well?

Imitative flies work really well. For those who like dry flies keep an eye out for what flies the fish are eating from the surface of the water.
