Kingslake Fishing Holidays is set in Highampton, Devon. This really is a special fishery with fishing only being allowed for residents only.

You can stay here in cottages, lodges or lodges with hot tubs. This means you can bring all the family along and keep everyone happy.

Blackbird Lake

This lake is the main carp lake at the complex. Because of this, there are a lot of double-figure fish in here. It is also home to a few big eels.

Kingfisher Lake

This lake is classed as the specimen lake as it also has lots of big carp with a lot now weighing almost 20lb. The biggest fish in this lake is 22lb.

Kitchen Lake

This lake is a bit further away from the cottages and is surrounded by lovely woodland which makes it a little haven for those wanting something truly peaceful. In the middle, there is an island and it holds carp up to 24lb which is the biggest at this venue. There’s also some really big roach that has been caught up to 2.5lb in size.

Jenny Wren Lake

This is a lovely intimate lake that suits classic float fishing really well that holds some massive tench to 8lb and some lovely crucian carp. It’s only a small lake at 3/4 of an acre but it’s one you must fish if you come on holiday here.

Nuthatch Lake

This is a 1-acre lake that provides a lovely environment for fishing as it’s surrounded by woodland and the lake itself has a lot of water life. It’s a mixed-species lake but there’s no big fish in here.

Woodpecker Lake

This is another mixed species lake in lovely surroundings.

Stock Pond

There’s also a small stock pond that’s available to fish.

What size do the fish go to?

Kitchen lake has the biggest carp at 24lb.

What tactics work well?

Start off simple using a basic waggler float, or simple pole float tactics. Use maggots, if you get annoyed with small fish then switch to bigger baits such as meat or corn.

What facilities are on site?

Everything you need as there are holiday homes there.

Is parking available?

Plenty of parking around the lakes.
