Fishery Information

As described, the water is an old mill pond now surrounded by trees in a pleasant green space that provides an oasis in the surrounding built-up areas. The 2-acre lake may not be the biggest but the location is attractive to locals and anglers from further afield.

A locked gate provides access to a well-maintained fishery – the club lease from the local council and retain sole right to stock the lake – a ramp gives easy access to the bank and there are no fewer than 10 specially constructed swims suitable for disabled anglers.

A season ticket fishery, in the water are a good head of sizeable carp, plentiful tench and roach, as well as large bream. Night fishing is available by arrangement, and there is no closed season at Lankys Mill.
