Ledcrieff Trout Fishery is a fly-fishing only loch located in the Sidlaw Hills between Dundee & Blairgowrie, nearby the Rivers Tay, Ericht, Isla & Tummel. The 6-acre crystal clear woodland loch is stocked with hard fighting, fully finned Rainbow, Blue, Tiger, Brook & Brown Trout up to 15lbs. The fishery has been restored to great healthy condition and has become a popular destination for anglers from all over the UK.

What tactics work well?

The fishery abounds with aquatic fly life and top of the water sport can be enjoyed most of the year, even in the winter months. Dry fly fishing in the summer months can be epic, with buzzers, damsels, hedgehogs, hoppers, and traditional patterns all working well. A 5/6 weight rod is more than sufficient for most situations. Strong fluorocarbon with a low diameter is highly recommended.

What facilities are on site?

The fishery is nestled in a peaceful woodland with a car park nearby. The owners have restored the loch to its great healthy condition. There are no facilities on site except for the crystal clear water in the loch itself.
