Groe Park and Irfon Angling Club has coarse fishing on the Llyn Alarch. The lake contains common, mirror and wild carp, tench, chub, bream, roach, rudd and perch.

What size do the fish go to?

Anglers are finding carp up to 11lb, perch up to 3lb, roach up to 2lb, chub up to 5lb, bream up to 4 ½lb, crucian carp up to 1 ½lb, and gudgeon.

What tactics work well?

Waggler with sweetcorn or banded pellet is the go-to bait, with punched luncheon meat on the pole as a good alternative. Carp take most boilies, and fruit-based flavors work well.

What facilities are on site?

There is a lakeside chalet warden where anglers can purchase day tickets for £6.

Is parking available?

There is a secure car park on site for anglers.
