Fishery Information

Managed by the Lydney and District Angling Club, Lydney Lake is an attractive fishery in a lovely part of Gloucestershire.

Close to the main A48 bypass, it is easy to reach and well signposted.

Lydney Lake is well-stocked with a good head of sizeable carp, plus Roach, Bream, Tench, Eel, Pike, Chub, and Perch also to good and mature sizes.

Formerly a boating lake, the water is now dedicated to angling and retains the hard path that surrounds the entire lake.

There are plentiful pegs, many of which are easily accessible and suitable for disable persons and wheelchair users.

Lydney Lake is adjacent to the local recreation ground. It is a popular water to fish and the managing club is a thriving one that organises regular matches.

Day ticket visitors are welcome and should check in advance with the club to see if their desired day is open.

Often, a certain number of pegs may be closed for matches with others still available.
