Fishery Information

Rocklands Mere Fishery describes itself as “An exceptional fishery in the heart of Norfolk” and looking at the images we can see why. This fishery is located between Norwich and Thetford and offers day tickets for coarse fishing and fly fishing in the lovely Norfolk countryside.

There are 2 different lakes, one is known as the Trout Lake which is obviously for the fly fisherman and the other is known as “The Old Mere” where you are likely to catch some lovely crucian carp. There is also a good head of Perch, Tench, Roach, Rudd and Carp. All of these grow very big.

What size do the fish go to?

We are not sure, but there are some lovely big crucian carp on the website. Theres also some specimen tench pictures on the website as well. Theres no pictures of specimen carp.

What tactics work well?

Traditional float fishing methods work best. Fishing near the lily pads will give you good results.

What facilities are on site?

There is a fishing lodge on site which has a tackle shop inside it where you can buy anything that you need. Theres also a log fire in there as well as some chairs so that you can relax and get away from the stress of every day life.

Is parking available?
