Despite the seemingly remote setting, the location is quite accessible by car. It is located approximately half a mile off the Inverness to Ullapool road (A835). The area is rich in animal and bird life and offers year-round fishing for Rainbow Trout.

What size do the fish go to?

The lochs are well-stocked with different species of fish. Loch an Eich Bhain is stocked with Rainbow Trout up to 20lbs and Brown Trout up to 6lbs, and Blues up to 6lbs. Loch Ruith a Phuill and Loch a Chlaran both also offer Brown Trout up to 6lbs.

What tactics work well?

What facilities are on site?

Each loch comes with its own set of facilities. Loch an Eich Bhain provides a car park adjacent to the fishing area, allowing for easy approach. Loch Ruith a Phuill has a car park on the road followed by a roughly 200-yard walk to the fishing spot. Loch a Chlaran requires a 20-minute walk to the lochside, providing a more secluded and serene fishing experience.

Is parking available?
