What tactics work well?

Fishing the margins is among the favourite tactics of anglers who fish here. Start by depositing dead maggots, casters or corn as loosefeed to stop large, patrolling fish in the peg. Big hook baits including bread, paste, lumps of meat and lobworms produce great results. The sunken bread method is also popular in winter.

Waggler fishing is the most popular method on this venue. In the shallow areas towards the reeds, you can catch a large carp or two by floating dog biscuits fished with controller floats. Crucian carp, rudd and roach prefer casters.
