Fishery Information

Situated in Tattershall Thorpe, Lincolnshire, Bain Valley Fisheries offers over 50 acres of excellent fishing for both the keen Carp and Trout angler. The site consists of 8 lakes in total, all of which boast a variety of fishing features.

Halifax Lake spans 7 acres and offers a healthy selection of Carp.

The Spitfire and Hurricane Lakes are suitable for both leisure and matches. Furthermore, both lakes offer a decent stock of Bream, Roach, Tench and Carp.

Again, suitable for the pleasure and match angler, Stirling Lake is home to wide variety of silver fish, as well as Carp.

Mosquito Lake is the Trout Lake and hosts a healthy stock of both Brown and Rainbow Trout.

Lancaster Lake is a specimen lake and makes up the largest lake in the venue. Along with Wellington Lake, it is home to the largest Carp on location.

What size do the fish go to?

Bream, Tench and Roach tend to be landed between 3-8lbs. Trout typically average between 6-10lbs, with some reaching 15lbs. Carp are caught frequently in double figures, with the course record exceeding 30lbs.

What tactics work well?

Standard still water tactics tend to be effective. Also, using a feeder with sweetcorn, maggots or worms is helpful in enticing the larger Carp.

What facilities are on site?

Accommodation is available on site in the form of a caravan park. Moreover, clean and accessible toilet/shower facilities are open to visitors.
