Fishery Information

Anglers can choose to fish in either a Syndicate Lake, Day ticket Water, or a Private Social Lake at the Barnstone Lakes complex, located in Nottinghamshire. 45 people are part of the syndicate on “The Quarry.” The membership year begins on April 1 and ends on March 31.

The Day Ticket Lake, once known as the “Old Match Lake,” is open to anglers who wish to fish both during the day and at night on a ticket-only basis. It includes 17 huge gravelled swims kept in good condition, with one of them being a large double that can accommodate two anglers at a time.

The Private Carp Lake, which goes by Blue Lias, spans over two and a half acres and is home to over 200 fish. It is at the heart of the well-established fishery, and part of the work carried out since the owners of Barnstone Lakes bought the property in 2017. they intended to establish a lake that a select group of anglers could enjoy together, with exclusive use of the facilities and high-quality amenities. As a result, in 2019, they converted one of the original stock ponds into the Private Social Lake, which is als available for hire.

What size do the fish go to?

The Day Ticket Water features a healthy population of carp, with numerous specimens weighing 20 or 30 pounds. Since the construction of the Private Lake, the fishery has introduced more than sixty fish, including Mirror and Common Carp that weigh between 15 and 24 pounds each.

Pole flat fishing with pellets and other carp luring baits.
