Fishery Information

Owned by the National Park Authority, Bassenthwaite Lake is regarded as Cumbria’s most northern lake that supports a good stock of brown trout. Other species present include roach and large pike, which offer excellent experience for coarse anglers.

This water is one of the only 2 lakes in Britain to have vendace, of the same family as salmon and trout.
