Fishery Information

The Bordeaux Pit fishery is located in Essex – in Saffron Walden, to be precise. It is a coarse fishery type and is comprised of two different bodies of water. The pond is 1/3 acres, while the lake is 2.3 acres. Overall, both waters are under ideal shelter for fishing.

Anglers can enjoy any of the 39 swims spread throughout the area that sits below the surrounding environment (for increased wind protection). The fishery is mixed and contains a great variety of species, from Carp to Chub, Ide, Bream, Roach, Tench, Crucian, and so on.

Reportedly, there are some tackle shops around that anglers can rely on for supplies. Keep in mind that the Bordeaux Pit is not meant to be a commercial fishery. While the stock is plenty, the waters are not overstocked.
