Braxted Front Lake

Address

Little Braxted, Witham, CM8 3EW, Essex, United Kingdom

Fishery Information

The 3-acre lake is pretty much rudimentary when it comes to features and amenities. However, this makes it ideal for silent, natural fishing sessions. This fishery is located in Witham, Essex and has another lake near it as well – the Braxted back lake.

In terms of notable species, the lake is stocked with large Carp, Roach, Tench, Eels, as well as Bream. As for depth, it can go as low as 20 feet. Braxted Front Lake features a total of 17 swims. On top of that, anglers can also make use of the marginal shelves that are quite close to reeds, ensuring a silent and quick catch.

The two lakes that make the fishery are rather secluded and are unlikely to experience a lot of noise or traffic. Unfortunately, no cafés or pubs are nearby. Though, there is a convenience store and, ideal for anglers, a Bait & Tackle shop. The latter requires a bit of a drive from the Front Lake.
