Fishery Information

Bure Valley Lakes is a beautiful fishery in Norfolk that is known for having some of the largest carp in Norfolk, as well as some other impressive species too. It is near the beautiful little village of Itteringham and is a very tranquil place for a spot of fishing. However, fished right, this lake can produce a big bag of baddies or a few stunning carp in just a short session.

Many of the anglers that visit this lake are keen to catch the large carp that call it home. However, there are many pole and match-style anglers that call this place a paradise too. There’s a wealth of fishing on offer for anyone here.

What size do the fish go to?

At the last catch report, there were carp up to 30lbs in this lake. These catch reports are a few years old now, though. Could there be bigger carp in this lake? Most likely, yes. There are also some wonderful tench and bream in this lake too. As well as roach to nearly 3lbs and some lovely rudd too.

What tactics work well?

Most people fish this lake with the big carp in mind, and so they fish boilies, and this works great. However, with such an abundance of other specimens in this lake, it is well worth sticking a float on your line, baiting a tight area and using some corn or maggots to see what else you can catch. You could try a feeder to catch the larger ones too.

What facilities are on site?

None that we know of.

Is parking available?

Yes, parking is available.
