Park Ln, Reading RG10 9TY, United Kingdom
Welcome to the Charvil Complex, offering some of the most affordable syndicate coarse fishing in the Thames Valley. Located in Charvil Country Park near Twyford and close to Reading in Berkshire, the complex provides first-class carp and specimen coarse fishing in uncrowded, peaceful surroundings. Anglers can choose from two lakes with various fish species or a stretch of the River Loddon containing good Chub and Barbel.
- Canberra Lake (16 acres): A stunning, mature, reed-lined lake with an average depth of up to 11ft, numerous bars, and plenty of islands. There are approximately 23 swims, and the fishery management plan aims to increase the stock of carp to around 100. The excellent water quality and abundance of natural food in the lake contribute to the rapid weight gain of the stocked fish.
- Orrell Lake (2.87 acres): This beautiful 10-swim gravel lake has varying depths from 6ft to 12ft and has been stocked with over 600 carp since 2010. The best-looking fish are weighed, photographed, and transferred to the main Canberra Lake to grow once they reach around 15lb. The lake has less weed than Canberra Lake and provides opportunities to catch carp from the far overhanging bushes and deep near margins.
