Lake Descriptions

  1. Canberra Lake (16 acres): A stunning, mature, reed-lined lake with an average depth of up to 11ft, numerous bars, and plenty of islands. There are approximately 23 swims, and the fishery management plan aims to increase the stock of carp to around 100. The excellent water quality and abundance of natural food in the lake contribute to the rapid weight gain of the stocked fish.
  2. Orrell Lake (2.87 acres): This beautiful 10-swim gravel lake has varying depths from 6ft to 12ft and has been stocked with over 600 carp since 2010. The best-looking fish are weighed, photographed, and transferred to the main Canberra Lake to grow once they reach around 15lb. The lake has less weed than Canberra Lake and provides opportunities to catch carp from the far overhanging bushes and deep near margins.
