Fishery Information
Chester Lakes is a very popular and famous fishing venue with 7 lakes to fish. There is also camping available at Chester Lakes, which makes it the best place for a fishing family to enjoy a wonderful week away. There are too many lakes on this venue to discuss them here. But whether you want to catch big carp, match fish in some of the best match fishing lakes in the country, or just pleasure fish, you can do it all at Chester Lakes.
What size do the fish go to?
The specimen lake is where the larger carp hang out with carp to over 30lbs. There are plenty of 20s to catch in this lake as well as some in the match lakes too. There are carp to over 10lbs in just about every lake on the site other than the silvers lake, though.
What tactics work well?
The tactics at Chester Lakes vary as much as the fishing. However, if you’re going to Chester Lakes for the first time, stick to a tactic you know that works well, and you’ve caught on before. Also, bring pellets!
What facilities are on site?
Along with the excellent fishing, you can camp at Chester Lakes or try one of their BBQ lodges. There is also a brilliant restaurant on site that serves an amazing burger that will taste all the better after a productive day’s fishing.

Parking is widely available at Chester Lakes.
