Cisterns is a fishing facility maintained by the Barnton and Frodsham Angling Club. It is comprised of three different sections: Top Cistern, Middle Cistern, and Junior Cistern. The bodies of water are located close to one another in the community of Anderton, approximately 2 kilometers away from Barnton.
The Cisterns take up roughly a third of an acre and have enough space for about a dozen fishers. The selection of fish species includes Carp, Crucians, Gudgeon, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Skimmers, and Tench. There are no seasonal restrictions on fishing at all.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp to about 12lb, Perch to 2lb, and Tench to 3lb.
What tactics work well?
Pole, waggler, and float fishing.
