Located in the beautiful Cumbria countryside, Cogra Moss provides superb trout fly fishing opportunity. This 40-acre naturalised reservoir overlooks the Solway Plain from its idyllic setting near Lamplugh.

Regarded as the best stocked game stillwater in West Cumbria, Cogra Moss is well-managed and well-stocked by the Cockermouth Angling Association with good quality rainbow trout to 10 lbs 8 oz and wild brown trout to 3 lbs.

Access is possible all around the fishery and in places there are a number of constructed platforms. Annual and day tickets are available for this fishery. Annual permits can be obtained from Cockermouth Angling Association.

What tactics work well?

Natural flies include Sedges and Daddies. Vivas and wet flies are also recommended.
