Fishery Information

Covering 80 acres, Coombe Pool Fishery is a mature estate lake set in a beautiful 400-acre country park. If you want to relax and fish in the stunning surroundings of historic Coombe, this place is a must-visit for you. Originally designed as part of the landscape by Capability Brown, this water is part of the designated Site of Special Scientific Interest which covers the Heronry and protected woodland that line one side of the lake.

Coombe Pool Fishery is know home to an abundance of wildlife and is a nice attraction all year round. 70-lb. bags of bream are not uncommon during matches. Catches of up to 35 lbs. of small fish are common as well. Increasing amounts of matches are being won with large bags of roaches and skimmers on the pole.

This fishery has 140 bookable pegs, 40 of which can be reserved for booked matches only. Tackle carriers for pegs 1-40 on public bank are available. The match record is at 142 lbs.

Ample car parking is available near the pegs. Part of the bank side is accessible to people with disabilities. Arrangements can be made for anglers in wheelchairs to be transported to the pegs, but a 48-hour notice is required.
