What size do the fish go to?

Mirror carp go to 24 lbs 2 oz, common carp to 23 lbs 4 oz, ghost carp to 18 lbs, eel to 5 lbs 4 oz, perch to 3 oz, roach to 1 lb 7 oz and tench to 4 lbs 6 oz.

What tactics work well?

Summer fishing provides plenty of silver fish. Popular tactics include loose feeding maggots using the waggler or pole. Large baits usually pick out better quality fish.

When catching carp, stay close to your rod as many have been lost due to the fish making powerful runs. Bream can be taken on the feeder with either a small cage or a method feeder. Good-sized tench can be caught close in on bread, corn or meat.

Best baits for fishing on site include maggots, worm and small pellets.

What facilities are on site?

On-site facilities include parking and toilets.

Is parking available?

Parking is available in the bottom left hand corner of the car park to the left of the garden centre. Please do not park inside the gate.
