Fishery Information

Sevington Lakes is Wiltshire’s hidden gem. It is near Castle Combe and offers some fantastic fishing for experienced and novice anglers. There is plenty of lovely carp for the carp anglers to target and some brilliant sized bream and tench for pleasure anglers to target. No matter your skill level, this fishing lake offers something for you. There is night fishing available here, and day tickets are really reasonably priced for the quality of the fish.

What size do the fish go to?

The carp in this lake go to 28lbs at the moment, but they are growing fast. There is very likely already carp over the lake record (28lbs), so if you fish this lake right, you could be catching a 30lber. There is also plenty of double-figure carp and loads of bream and tench to good sizes as well. Of course, there are also plenty of silvers to catch for anyone who doesn’t want to go after the monsters in the lake.

What tactics work well?

There are a few islands on this lake to fish to, which are really worth exploring. However, the islands can often be heavily fished, so staying close to overhangs in the margin can give you an edge. Bright bottom baits are the go-to here, but corn and pellets should be fed with them.

What facilities are on site?

There are toilets on site. There are also disabled access pegs with parking near the pegs.

Is parking available?

Parking is available; most pegs have space to park behind them, some don’t, but there is also a car park.
