Fishery Information

Dyffryn Springs Fishery is located in the small village of Dyffryn, in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan, in the midst of the beautiful open countryside. Waycock, Thaw, Goldsland, and Reservoir are the names of the four fishing lakes on the property. All of these are fed by springs, which provide the finest quality water.

In addition, the fishery has two small conservation water bodies for the purpose of raising new fish. The fishing is done on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is no need to make a reservation.

The Lakes

The lake Waycock is a coarse water body of about three acres, stocked with Carp to over 20 pounds in weight, as well as Ide, Tench, Roach, and Bream.

Thaw is a silver fish lake that contains some outstanding tench.

At approximately four acres, Goldsland is extensively stocked with Carp, Perch, Ide and Bream.

Reservoir is a well-established coarse lake of approximately two acres and contains some extremely large Grass and Common Carp, as well as record-sized Perch, Tench and Ide.
