Fishery Information

If you are looking to explore local waterside wildlife in Warwickshire, Earlswood is indeed a must-visit for you. Made up of 3 22-acre reservoirs together, Earlswood consists of Terry’s Pool, Windmill Pool and Engine Pool. All pools are ideal for bird watching. Windmill Pool and Engine Pool are canal feeder reservoirs, while Terry’s Pool used to be a water supply reservoir.

Engine Pool is a 25-acre water that has 105 pegs, 80 of which are large timber platforms with the remainder being along the stone-built dam. This water is home to carp to 9 lbs.. Pegs 5 to 25 are popular with anglers because they are near the new car park. Method feeder and pellet are popular tactics during summer. As water levels fall, fishing the waggler comes into its own and a greater variety of baits become successful. Popular baits include meat, maggots, sweet corn, casters, paste and worm. Please note that method feeder used in conjunction with a pole is not allowed.

Just like Engine Pool, Windmill Pool is also 25 acres in size. It has 45 pegs along the east bank and 12 along the dam. The most successful method for fishing is to use an open ended feeder loaded with brown crumb and either red maggots or worm, or both, on the hook. Using waggler is also a popular method for fishing on this water.

Terry’s Pool is another beautiful water that covers 20 acres. Surrounded by trees, this lake is more difficult to fish compared to the other 2 pools. It is home to bream, perch, roach, pike, tench to 8 lbs. and large carp. Fishing on this water is available by season permit only. Use of method feeder is a popular technique for fishing here. Popular baits include maggots, bread, worm, meat, paste and sweet corn.
