Fishery Information

The Hopsford Hall Fishery, located at Withybrook Lane, Shilton, in the city of Coventry, opened for business for the first time in 1993-4. It has grown in popularity as a place to fish over the course of many years. The fishery is comprised of a single pool that is roughly three acres in size. Carp of various species, including Mirror, Common, Ghost, and Linear, as well as some very nice Roach and Perch and some larger Bream are the main catches here.

The administration provides food for the fish during specific times of the year, specifically the late autumn and early spring months, when the fish are at their most susceptible. They also close for three months beginning on December 1 and ending on March 1, as well as during the spawning period, which makes it easier to get some gorgeous healthy, and  bigger fish that become much more of a challenge to regular anglers. The pool has been secured so that otters cannot get in.
