Fishery Information

Morton Springs is a 2 1/2 acre lake with depths that range primarily between three and five meters located in a peaceful and rural setting. It had been stocked with a variety of coarse fish species, such as roach, rudd, tench, bream, and carp, over a period of time spanning more than 20 years.

Carp now come in many different varieties, including ghost, common, crucian, grass, and mirrors. The lake is inhabited by chubb, as well as barbel, which reproduce freely, and a good number of perch. Morton Springs is a private syndicate.

What size do the fish go to?

Carp with a top weight of 26lb, barbel of 13lb and perch in excess of 5lb.
