Situated near Caldecott, Leicestershire, Eyebrook Trout Fishery is a sizeable stretch of water that offers excellent sport to the keen Trout angler. The lake is exclusive to fishing and spans over 400 acres. Furthermore, there are a variety of mature trees around the circumference, providing cover to the site and giving it the tranquil feel of smaller venues.

There are 5 miles of fishable bank, with yellow markers clearly pointing out which areas are not to be fished on. Moreover, several parts of the lake offer easy access for both the disabled and elderly angler.

The lake is renowned for its nymph sport and is home to a variety of Brown and Rainbow Trout.

What size do the fish go to?

Rainbow and Brown tend to average between 5-8lbs, with many hitting double figures and the largest specimen even reaching as high as 20lbs.

What tactics work well?

Fish tend to respond well to traditional fly-fishing techniques. Additionally, fry patterns and small beaded flies can be extremely effective for catching Brown Trout, which tend to lay in the deeper waters.
