Fishery Information

Situated in Fordwich, Kent, this lake affords a stunning landscape and is optimal for the keen Carp angler. The area also boasts a wide variety of bird life.

As well as Carp, large stocks of Bream can be found along with the occasional Tench. Specimen Pike are often taken when in season, most commonly from the far end of the lake referred to as “The Deeps”.

The average depth of the lake is 5 ft, but the deepest spots go down to 20ft.

What size do the fish go to?

There is a healthy stock of Commons and Mirrors averaging around 30lbs, as well as Pike in excess of the 20lbs region.

What tactics work well?

Using the feeder with sweetcorn or worms can bring spectacular results, especially for Bream and Carp. In the warmer months, anglers like to use pellets and boilies.

What facilities are on site?

Clean toilet and shower facilities are available on site.

Is parking available?

The Fordwich car park is both safe and secure and provides easy access to the water’s edge.
