Set only 7 miles from the seaside resort of Skegness, Grooby’s Pit is the ideal spot for the keen Carp angler. The site is approximately 3 acres and hosts an abundance of fishing features.

The waters offer numerous spacious pegs, many of which are suitable for disabled and elderly anglers. Furthermore, the facility offers a healthy stock of Bream, Tench, Perch, Roach and Carp.

The venue is welcoming to everyone and encourages juniors and novices to get involved.

What size do the fish go to?

Perch, Tench, Bream and Roach generally weigh between 2-8lbs. Furthermore, Carp are caught with frequency in double figures, with the larger fish exceeding 20lbs.

What tactics work well?

Standard still water methods usually work well. Moreover, using the feeder with worms or sweetcorn helps to entice the larger Carp. In the summer, pellets and boilies should be utilised.
