Fishery Information

Located close to the attractive town of Chapel St. Leonards in Lincolnshire, Lakeside Leisure Park is a highly regarded fishery offering access to four well-stocked lakes. Fishing here is described by regulars as excellent.

Not far from the popular seaside town of Skegness, Lakeside Leisure Park is easy to reach by the local main road network with the A158 offering direct access and is located next to the beach.

The Boating Lake is popular for the largest carp and catfish, and also houses a good head of easily caught silverfish. 3.5 acres in size, although the lake does have motorboats in season this is not detrimental to the fishing.

Kingfisher Lake has had a refurbishment and along with good sized carp also houses a fine head of trout which are for fishing by catch and return.

Horseshoe Lake is popular for carp up to 24lb and tench plus other species are present in the lake, while the Golf Pond is by far the smallest yet is home to many good sized carp despite the small area.

What size do the fish go to?

The Boating Lake holds carp up to 34.5lbs and mammoth catfish beyond 50lbs. Kingfisher Lake can yield carp up to 8lbs, while Horseshoe Lake is home to many carp up to 24lb as well as good-sized tench. Golf Pond carp generally reach 4lb although there are bigger fish believed to be present.

What tactics work well?

Floating bread, plus maggot, worm and castor work well in all the lakes at Lakeside Leisure, and in the Golf Pond fishing out to the reeds and weed patches is known to be successful. On the Horseshoe Lake float fishing out to the island is recommended.

What facilities are on site?

There is a good tackle shop on site offering excellent stock, plus a cafe providing meals and drinks. The park is also home to a variety of family attractions so children can be catered for while you fish.

Is parking available?

There is more than ample parking within an easy walk of all the lakes.
