Fishery Information

Occupying a prime location near Uxbridge, close to London, is Golf Course Lakes Fishery. With three lakes and a total of 70 pegs, this popular fishery is regarded as offering a variety of challenges. Access is simple using the main M40 motorway and local A roads.

Operated by the Oxbridge Rovers Angling and Conservation society, this is well-maintained fishery that is popular with experienced anglers. The North Lake, South Lake and Narrow Pond each provide a different angling experience.

The North Lake is an excellent sport fishing water holding tench – some up to 7lb – plus carp., roach, perch and rudd. For many anglers the challenge here lies in the 20lb pike which make for engaging sport especially during autumn and winter.

South Lake is stocked with a good head of tench up to 9lb, and anglers should also watch for the shoal of bream that go up to 8lb.

The Narrow Lake can be fished only from the permanent pegs that are alongside the disused railway line as the north bank is out of bounds as it is within a protected bird sanctuary. This lake, although the smallest, is considered a challenge thanks to plentiful large tench, eels and bream as well as other coarse fish.

Please note that live bait is not permitted on any of the lakes.

What size do the fish go to?

The biggest tench are in the South Lake and reach up to 9lb. The North Lake offers similar up to 7lb, with good sized carp and other coarse fish throughout the lakes. Particularly prized are the large bream in the South Lake.

What facilities are on site?

There are no specific facilities on site, shops are available in the nearby village.
