Fishery Information

Situated in a stunning countryside setting near Chorley, Heapy Lodges offers an excellent day’s sport to both the beginner and more seasoned angler. The venue comprises of 3 reservoirs in total, all of which offer a variety of fishing features.

Lake 1 is a large reservoir with a depth ranging from 12-25ft. The site is open for both day and night fishing, providing the correct permit is acquired. The waters are home to a large selection of Perch, Tench, Rudd, Pike and Carp.

Lake 2 is the largest of the 3, reaching depths of 30ft. This spot is only open for fishing during the day. The waters host a good head of Bream, Roach, Tench Pike and Carp.

Lake 3 is the smaller lake, but still boasts a variety of fish species. There are a decent number of Bream, Perch, Roach and Carp, as well as the occasional Trout which comes in from the stream.

What size do the fish go to?

Tench, Perch, Roach and Bream tend to weigh between 2-8lbs. Trout, Pike and Carp are frequently landed in double figures, with larger fish exceeding 20lbs.

What tactics work well?

Using a feeder with worms or sweetcorn can be extremely effective in enticing larger Carp. During warmer periods, anglers should also utilise pellets and boilies.
