Placed in a tranquil setting in Higher Walton, Lancashire, Red Rocks Fishery is a 1-acre site that offers excellent fishing to both the leisure and match angler. The lake hosts a variety of fishing features, including overhanging trees, reeds and pools.

The mature trees surrounding the lake are home to various different forms of wildlife, and also offer shelter from the elements. The venue centers around a campsite, so aims to be welcoming to families and junior anglers.

Several types of fish can be landed, including Bream, Tench, Rudd and Carp. Furthermore, Roach tend to appear more frequently during the winter months.

What size do the fish go to?

Tench, Rudd, Bream and Roach tend to weigh between 3-7lbs. Carp are commonly landed in double figures, with larger fish reaching 20lbs.

What tactics work well?

Fishing on the pole tends to be preferred, particularly during matches. Moreover, using a feeder with sweetcorn or worms can be extremely effective in enticing larger crap. During the warmer months, utilising pellets and boilies can be beneficial.
