Fishery Information

Situated in the peaceful village of Slaithwaite, Hill Top Reservoir is an 11-acre deep water with a depth of over 10 feet. Controlled by the Slaithewaite and District Angling Club, this reservoir is regarded as the club’s largest water.

Hill Top Reservoir is home to a good variety of stunning fish including roach, perch, bream, carp to 20 lbs and pike to 30 lbs. Fishing is allowed only from the pegs that are accessible from the steps that lead down from the footpath to the water’s edge.

Day tickets are available for this fishery.

To get there, follow these directions. Take the A62 (Manchester Road) to Slaithwaite, turn right into the village centre. Go over the bridge and turn left at the mini roundabout. Follow the road past the church and continue up the steep hill (Bank Gate) under the railway viaduct. At the junction with Longlands Road, the reservoir is found on the left.

Carp go to 20 lbs and pike to 30 lbs.
