Fishery Information
Hilton Valley Carp Fishery is situated in the Essex Colne Valley and is served by the River Colne, The fishery, which has been in operation for more than 40 years, boasts spectacular springs, as well as two excellent carp fishing lakes.
The Caney Lake, a 3-acre pond with nine pegs and an exceptionally rare and attractive carp, is the bigger of the two lakes. The lake’s heaviest carp fish, weighed 37lb.
Coblands Lake is the other fishing location, and it contains approximately 150 carp ranging in size from 10 to 18 pounds, with a few elusive 20s thrown in for good measure. Aside from carp, there are a few other types of fish in the lake. The lake is great for the experienced angler seeking a twist in the rod, as well as for the novice and young angler looking to learn the craft.
It is also an excellent sport-fishing location for older individuals who wish to make the most of their retirement years by participating in something they enjoy. Children accompanied by a paying adult can fish free. The first half of the payment is made online, and the second half is paid in cash on arrival.
