Iden Wood Fishery

Coldharbour Lane, Iden, TN31 7, East Sussex, United Kingdom

Fishery Information

This fishery is made up of two natural lakes and four man-made lakes. There are two match lakes, a tench lake, a specimen lake and a couple of lakes great for beginners. No matter the type of coarse fishing you like to do, it is possible at Iden Wood Fishery.

Iden Wood Fishery is really interesting because they don’t allow boilies on site. This opens up fishing for the larger carp to a whole new audience and makes big carp anglers fish differently. It also means that not many anglers come to this fishery in search of the massive carp. Of course, the carp are on everyone’s mind, but most people are coming to this venue to target a specific species.

What size do the fish go to?

The common carp at Iden Wood Fishery go to 30lbs; there are also mirrors to about 25lbs. You can also catch tench to about 5lbs, roach and rudd to nearly 2lbs, perch to over 4lbs and eels to nearly 4lbs too.

What tactics work well?

Worm, maggot, meat and corn are ideal baits for this venue. To stand out, though, try using a stinky groundbait that is going to bring fish into your swim from every corner of the lake. You could also try using natural high-attract liquids too.

What facilities are on site?

There are some disabled swims on some of the lakes. Give the lake a call before you arrive to see which disabled pegs are available.

Is parking available?

Yes, parking is available.
