The Leger Lakes, located in Laughten en le Morthen, Sheffield, are a wonderful area to spend some time and unwind. The well-landscaped grounds of the family-owned and operated company, in picturesque surroundings consist of three smaller lakes, and it exudes an air of orderliness, cleanliness, and safety typical of rural areas.
The three lakes are the Specimen Lake, the Match Lake, and the Leisure Lake. They have a diverse selection of fish, such as carp, tench, and ide among others. Day tickets for these lakes are available for £8, which includes an additional rod for use on the Leisure Lake. The lake contains approximately 20 pegs and 2 islands. Overnight 24-hour pegs are £18, while 24-hour bookings for the Match Lake are at £25 per peg.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp, tench, and ide weighing up to 4-5 pounds are in considerable numbers in Match Lake.
The fish in the leisure lake are diverse, with some carp reaching weights of up to 30 pounds.
The specimen lake is teeming with carp, many of which are in the 20s and some of which are over 30 pounds.
What tactics work well?
There are no odd fishing regulations in effect here, and each peg is of comparable quality. General coarse fishing tactics will do just fine.
