Fishery Information

The fishing grounds at Lochter span twelve acres in the countryside between Inverurie and Oldmeldrum. The fishery features three fly-fishing lochs and two bait-fishing ponds. One of the lochs is the one-of-a-kind Muckle Troot Loch, which takes the form of a large trout.

 The fishery is a popular destination for anglers from all over Scotland to compete in bank fly-fishing tournaments. It also hosts major events that attract competitors from all over the country. Clay pigeon shooting, rally karting, archery, target golf, mini highland games, and putting are just some additional activities available to guests at Lochter. In addition, they are experts in the corporate market and can provide catering for more elaborate events such as weddings.

Rainbow trout range from 2lb to well over double figures.

What facilities are on site?

The facilities include a comfortable area for picnics and barbecues, as well as a restaurant, toilets, and a bar with a valid permit. Access for people with disabilities is satisfactory.
