Fishery Information

At 2.5 acres, Long Island is the second largest lake at Hampton Springs and is the most popular . There are dozens and dozens of carp basking on the surface of the water on a hot, still day. Carp are the dominant species on this lake, with specimens weighing in at 20lb or more.

The lake is well-known for its large stock of carp, which can reach 30 pounds in weight. There is also a healthy stock of other fish, including mirror/common carp, chub, tench, bream, perch, roach, Crucian Carp, and barbel. During the summer, the channel can yield some excellent catches.
