Information on Longmoor Lake Fishery

Originally excavated in the 19th century, Longmoor lake is a quaint 6-acre estate lake comprising of 5 islands. A closed season operates from the 15th of March to the 15th of June inclusive. The location primarily concerns itself with Tench, Perch, Roach and Russ. However, dedicated anglers frequently boast a catch of Specimen Carp and Pike.

The lake offers excellent fishing with no less than 33 swims, all of which are suitable for disabled access.

What size do the fish go to?

Large pike over 20lbs are frequently caught at this location, as well as Mirror Carp over 25lbs, and a beautiful stock of Commons averaging over 15lbs.

What tactics work well?

Anglers have reported that using the feeder with sweetcorn and worms can bring excellent results. It is also beneficial to use pellets and boilies during the warmer months.

Is parking available?

On-site parking is available, with all day fishing tickets available for purchase from the car parking area.
